Prayer Requests!!

Hello All,

It is with a sad and troubled heart that I post this morning. One of our dear friends has been diagnosed with breast cancer! She underwent surgery yesterday, and they ended up removing most of her lymph nodes. The cancer was only found in one, but the doctor wanted to be safe and remove all of them. He was very confidant and encouraging that she will be on the mend very soon, but she will have to undergo radiation/chemo for a short period of time. I would like to ask that all of you keep her and her family in your thoughts and prayers.

I did finish MJ's sampler and actually got it laced up during the wait for news, but I was not up to taking any photos. I will be dropping it at the framer's and will get a snap as soon as its done.
I am trying to finish up a few of my small WIPs over the weekend so that I will have more to share with all of you in my next post.

On a good note, MJ is growing sooooo fast. It's hard to believe that she is 14 weeks old today!! She and Ally have been a little under-the-weather for the past few days, so I hope they are feeling better soon.

Well, I probably should try to get some work done while I am AT work! LOL!! Thank you in advance for all your prayers and well wishes...I know that with all the love shown on this blog, our friend will have tons of positive energy and love heading her way! Until later...

HAPPY STITCHIN'
Terri

Hi Terri,
My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer a couple of years ago. They found a very large lump and did a mastectomy. They also found some cells in her main axilla under the arm pit. The cancer had actually skipped a lymph node and ended up there. Very odd, but because they can skip around, I think it was a very wise move that your friend's surgeon decided to remove them. Her immune system will be down the rest of her life of course , but that's better than her not being here. She can still lead a vry healthy life. I will definately keep her in my prayers.I'll give my mom the heads up too so she will.
