Hello again! And, I have photos to share!!

Goodness, I can't believe it has been almost a month since my last post!! Life sure has a way of getting past you, doesn't it??!!

First, let me say thank you for all the well wishes for my friend...she is doing fantastic and was very thankful for the kind thoughts! She was home for awhile but has returned to work and is getting along pretty good. Her radiation/chemo begins soon, and we know it will be a very rough time of it for her.

Thanksgiving was a grand time with lots of delicious food and wonderful memories. My father and I headed down to central Florida to spend the holiday with my grandmother. I want to get in as many visits as possible; at 91 yrs of age, she may not have many left in this earthly realm!

I have been stitching quite a bit lately, regardless of this being the final weeks of the semester! I was able to finish MJ's sampler and get it framed, so now I can share it with you. This is one of my favorite baby designs...this is the second time I have stitched it, and it will be the last! I don't know how some stitchers can make the same piece over and over again??!! But, here it goes...just a few "in progress" photos, then the framed piece. The third photo shows the back all laced-up for framing.

I have a few other finishes but wasn't able to take photos yet. I hope to have them for posting before the weekend is over.

Meanwhile, I have taken the plunge and started a punch needle design. It is just one of those kits from Michael's, but I loved the colors for MJ's room. If I continue to enjoy it as much as I am, I will purchase one of WMN&T designs. I love her stuff and have seen a few that I think would be a fun project to do. Here is my progress BEFORE Thanksgiving (I have since worked on it quite a bit and will post those photos in my next posting).

Since I had a few quiet days at work, I indulged and did a little decorating of my office...had to make it a bit more homey! I am happy with it...just wish they would let me paint! I hate white walls :(

I used the few days that Lynn was on her cruise to paint and set-up my craft room. Those pictures will also be in my next post, as I still have some tweaking to do! But, I am happy with how it is coming along.

The Christmas decorating has commenced at our house as well. The tree is up and will be decorated tonight; then, I have to put up the lights outside this weekend! It's gonna be a busy time...I have two research papers and two final exams to study for as well...and the SEC Championship game is on Saturday! Where am I gonna find the time for all of this stuff??!! I need to make a list, or I'll forget something important! LOL! ;)

Well, here's hoping that each of you has a much less stressful time. Until later...

HAPPY STITCHIN'

Terri

What a sweet sampler! Let me know how you like punchneedle, I have been tempted to try it but haven't yet.
I'm glad you posted about Christmas decorations, I need to take pics of some of mine and post them!

I can't wait to see the pictures of your craft room! I might get a few ideas!

I can see by your SEC comment that we are on opposing college football teams! My husband and I both attended FSU (I didn't finish but he has 2 degrees) and my dad grew up in Alabama. :)

What an adorable finish! MJ will treasure it.

I loved seeing your decorating. My family is starting to grumble about getting out the decorations. I HATE the whole mess of it but love it when it's decorated!

Good luck with all the studying, etc.
