This snap is a freebie from Paulette of Plum Street Samplers (I adore her patterns!!) using some remnant tea-dyed fabric I had in my stash and a mix of CC, WDW, and GAST threads (couldn't tell you what they were if my life depended on it). I love how it turned out and plan to finish-finish it into a pillow with the bit of antique lace.

Plum Street Samplers Freebie
I finished the "Winter Wonderland" pattern by LHN that I won in Tracey's giveaway (I Stitch Therefore I Am). It, too, turned out quite nice. I used a piece of 24 ct Country Blue Lugana; changed the colors to CC, WDW, and GAST; and used some Mill Hill snowflakes. I haven't decided what to do with this one yet....any suggestions??

****GIVEAWAY INFORMATION****
****Edited to clarify: Giveaway is for the LHN pattern, not this finished piece!****
Now, this is where the giveaway comes in...and as this is the first one I have ever done, I plan to make it a doozy!! Just leave me a comment on this post, and I will enter your name for a chance to win this pattern along with a ton of extra surprise goodies! Deadline is midnight (CT), February 19th (Friday), and I will announce the winner February 20th (Saturday). As I don't have one of those nifty computer generated-random selecting thingies...I'm just gonna print, scramble, and select from the basket/hat/bowl or whatever I can find to hold them all in! LOL! Unfortunately, this also means that I need to limit it to one entry per person! Sorry...I assure you, however, that it will be a "fair and balanced" giveaway.
****GIVEAWAY INFORMATION ENDS****
Now, on to WIPs...here is the progress on my first ever punch-needle piece. I am still enjoying it when I can find a minute or two to add to it! Heck, MJ may be five years old before I ever get it to her though! LOL! If you have been wanting to try punch needle, just jump in...it's a lot of fun and, actually, quite relaxing.
Lately, I have been playing around with some remnant pieces and the tea- or coffee-dying process; I have to say, I am hooked...I love it! This is a snap of my two recent turnouts.
I loved the tan fabric so well I decided to use it as the piece for my original design...and it has made all the difference in the world. I was stumped because every time I compared the threads I had chosen for the design with the fabrics nothing worked...until now! What do you think??
I told you in a previous posting that I had finally finished my craft room...well, I still haven't exactly finished-finished it yet, but I do have at least one snap to share. The closet is coming along quite nicely, I think...don't you?

This weekend is supposed to be really ugly weather-wise, so I hope to get in there and finish all the little things--organizing stuff, hanging pictures, and cleaning for photos. Then, I can really dazzle you guys with all the stitchy goodness...
Before I go, I have to get at least one snap of my sweet MJ in or what kinda grandma would I be??!! She and her mother are now in Germany with my son and are finally able to settle in to being a true family! I miss her, but I am so happy they are all together and my son can finally touch his baby girl...he is utterly besotted with her, and she with him! I was giving her a kiss on the neck; I think it was tickling her!

Now, last but not least, the joyful news...my lovely daughter, Rachel, is engaged. Yep, that's right...not only am I trying to finish a degree and working full time, but now I am helping plan a wedding!! I must be crazy...LOL! Just Kidding...I could not be happier for both of them. Justin is a wonderful young man, and they truly love each other! Congratulations babies!!
Well, that's it for today stitchy friends...best wishes to you all...until later...

What a cutie granddaughter you have! I don't have grandbabies yet but looking forward to that day.
Great finishes! Your tea dyeing is FANTASTIC!
I couldn't enlarge the picture of your closet. I want to see what you've got going on in there! What's hanging? It's so neat and organized and I love it! The paint color is terrific!
Wow-lots and lots of stuff you blogged. Hooray for everything!
An idea about your Winter Wonderland. A cube-it. You know what that is, right? A big, pretty light blue bow on top would be pretty I think.
I understand the loss you're feeling but that's right about your son.
Congratulations on the upcoming wedding.
Nice closet.
